Late Arrival & No-Show Policy

Arrival, missed departure and no-show rules.

LATE ARRIVAL & NO-SHOW POLICY

1. Purpose

Blue X Ocean Adventures schedules marine experiences around equipment availability, safety briefings, operating windows, marina or launch procedures, weather conditions, and other confirmed guests. Timely arrival helps us provide a safe and organized experience.

2. Required Arrival Time

Guests must arrive at the check-in location by the arrival time stated in their reservation confirmation. The stated arrival time may be earlier than the activity departure time so that identification, waivers, eligibility checks, safety briefing, equipment preparation, and boarding can be completed.

Guests should rely on the arrival instructions in their Blue X confirmation rather than assuming that the activity start time is the appropriate check-in time.

3. If You Are Running Late

A guest who expects to arrive late should contact Blue X as soon as reasonably possible using the reservation contact information provided in the confirmation.

Notice of a delay does not guarantee that Blue X can hold an activity, equipment assignment, guide, vessel, or departure time.

4. Late Arrival

Blue X will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a late-arriving guest when doing so is safe, lawful, and operationally practical. Depending on the circumstances, the guest may be moved to a later available time, may receive a shortened experience, or may be unable to participate.

Blue X is not required to delay other confirmed guests or compromise a required safety briefing, operating window, marina procedure, weather decision, or lawful operating requirement in order to accommodate a late arrival.

5. Shortened Experience Due to Guest Delay

If a guest's late arrival causes the experience to begin late but the scheduled operating window cannot be extended, the activity may be shortened. A shortened activity caused by the guest's late arrival does not automatically qualify for a refund or partial refund, subject to applicable law.

6. Missed Departure

If a guest arrives after the activity has departed or after Blue X can no longer safely or reasonably provide the scheduled experience, the reservation may be treated as a no-show or late cancellation under the applicable booking terms.

7. No-Show

A guest is generally considered a no-show when the guest does not appear for a confirmed reservation, does not provide timely notice, or arrives too late for Blue X to reasonably provide the scheduled activity.

A no-show may result in forfeiture of amounts paid for the affected activity, subject to the applicable Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy, mandatory consumer rights, and any destination-specific requirements.

8. Rescheduling After a Late Arrival or No-Show

When availability permits, Blue X may offer a later time or another date as a courtesy. Any rescheduling fee, price difference, or credit will be communicated before the change is accepted.

Courtesy rescheduling is not guaranteed and may depend on equipment, staffing, operating hours, weather, marina or port restrictions, and the nature of the reservation.

9. Group and Private Reservations

Groups, private experiences, celebrations, corporate bookings, and multi-equipment reservations may have stricter arrival requirements because multiple resources are reserved for the group. Any special arrival or no-show terms will be disclosed in the applicable booking confirmation or group agreement.

10. Transportation and Third-Party Delays

Guests remain responsible for allowing adequate travel time to the check-in location. Traffic, rideshare delays, hotel transportation delays, parking issues, missed transfers, or other third-party transportation problems do not automatically require Blue X to extend or refund an activity.

If transportation was sold or expressly arranged by Blue X as part of the confirmed reservation, Blue X will evaluate delays attributable to that service under the applicable booking terms and mandatory law.

11. Weather or Blue X Operational Delays

This policy does not treat a guest as late when Blue X instructs the guest to delay arrival or when the activity is delayed by Blue X because of weather, marine conditions, equipment, operational, or safety reasons.

Blue X-initiated delays and cancellations are handled under the Weather & Marine Conditions Policy and Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy.

12. Check-In Requirements

Guests should arrive with any identification, confirmation information, payment method, waivers, parent/guardian authorization, or other documents communicated as required for the activity. Failure to complete mandatory eligibility or safety requirements may prevent participation even if the guest arrived on time.
